NACHES, Wash.-The Naches Event Center is presenting Maddie & Tae on July 14. The female country music duo is going to be the high point of the concert. The local band Genevieve will be performing in the opening act.
The event will also have five to six vendors, a beer tent run by a regional non-profit organization that will promote the local beers in the area. It’s going to be a bring your blanket, short back chair and sit where you want concert.
Jeff Ranger, event administrator and coordinator said that the Naches Event Center has been reconstructed to serve the community. The west side has been developed with a new deck to the clubhouse, new parking lot, electrical charging stations has been added, new lighting and is open for people to rent the area.
Mayor of Naches, Paul Williams, said that this concert is not only good for Naches but for the whole Yakima County.
“So, when we started out this project, it wasn’t just for the town of Naches, it was for our area, by the town of Naches, for the town of Naches, said Williams. “So that’ll bring more business and more foot traffic into town during the events and that could obviously help any part of any town.”
