Mobile home catches fire, displaces Walla Walla residents

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – A mobile home in Walla Walla caught fire Friday afternoon, causing $50,000 in damages and displacing its occupants, according to a press release from the Walla Walla Fire Department.

WWFD crews were called to the mobile home fire on Trio Lane at 12:53 p.m. Crews did not immediately see the fire, however found the upon entering the mobile home in one of the bedrooms.

The press release says firefighters had the fire under control at 1:14 p.m. No other structures were threatened or damaged by the fire.

The fire’s cause was determined after an investigation to be an exposed flame coming into contact with flammable materials.

No injuries were reported. The mobile home’s residents were displaced and are being helped by the Red Cross.
