Man waving handgun puts PACE school in Wapato into lockdown

WAPATO, Wash.- Officials search for armed man who caused a school lockdown in Wapato.

According to Wapato Police Department, at approximately 11:00 a.m. Officers received reports that a man was waving around a handgun near PACE School.

According to WPD, one officer located the man who matched the suspect’s description. The suspect ran away on foot.

PACE school was placed under a lockdown according to WPD.

The suspect was last seen running towards PACE school.

The suspect’s location is still unknown according to WPD.

The PACE school lockdown was lifted shortly after officers assured the suspect was not in the area.

This is an ongoing investigation according to WPD.
