YAKIMA, Wash. – According to the Yakima Police Department, a man was killed on Sunday in Yakima from what appeared to be a gang-related shooting.
Around noon on October 15, Yakima Police responded to gunshots being fired in the 1400 block of Roosevelt Avenue where officers found a man who was pronounced dead by medics due to gunshot wounds.
YPD detectives are currently investigating the shooting.
YPD is also requesting assistance from anyone in the area who have video, photos or had witnessed the shooting and urges them to contact Detective Matt Lee at 509-575-3042.
