Man injured in Yakima stabbing, police investigating

YAKIMA, Wash. – A man was stabbed in Yakima Friday afternoon with authorities searching for a potential suspect, according to Yakima Police Department Public Information Officer Yvette Inzunza.

Inzunza says a 43-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen around 4:41 p.m. on North First Street near the Union Gospel Mission Warehouse.

The man’s injuries are non-life threatening. Inzunza says that while there is no suspect as of yet, the community is not in danger.

YPD is currently investigating. There is no information at this time for what led up to the stabbing.
