ORIGINAL COVERAGE

According to a Facebook post made by The Richland Police Department, a man has been arrested at the Home Depot on Queensgate Drive.

Based on accounts from witnesses and victims it appears that the suspect got in an argument with his family at the movie theater before going to the store.

The suspect then reportedly entered the Home Depot parking lot and damaged a car and hurt his hand in the process before pulling a gun on a couple in their car.

After removing the magazine from his gun, the suspect reportedly tossed the pistol on the ground, causing it to fire into the entryway of the Home Depot.

According to the RPD, the suspect then pointed the gun at a customer with her child before handing them the gun.

The woman who took the gun turned it into customer service and told them to call the police. According to witness accounts the suspect then entered the store and took his gun back, pointing it at several customers and the store manager before throwing it on the ground when it wouldn’t fire.

Responding RPD Officers then arrested the suspect
