WASHINGTON, D.C.-Donald Trump’s lawyers say the former President is unable to secure a bond for the $464 million fraud judgement against him.

Trump’s legal team announced that they have not been able to secure a bond on March 18.

According to NBC News reporting on the case, the former President must post a bond for the full $464 million by next week to prevent the court from collecting while the case works through the appeals process.

Trump’s lawyers reportedly contacted 30 surety companies and four different brokers to try and secure the bond, but have been unsuccessful.

A 30-day stay of the judgement is set to expire on March 25, at which time New York Attorney General Letitia James can legally start seizing Trump’s assets, according to NBC News.
