Labor Day is a public holiday celebrated the first of September that honors the American labor movement and the push for more development, productivity, security, laws, and well-being of the country.

Originally starting in the late 19th century, Oregan was the first state to make it an official holiday and before it became a legal holiday over thirty states where officially celebrating it.

In the present day, it’s more commonly seen as the “unofficial end of summer” since this is right around the time when the summer heat starts to cool and the new school year begins.
