Kraken Encourage Kids to Try Hockey for Free in Yakima, Tri-Cities

YAKIMA, Wash.-Kids ages four to nine are invited to become hockey players for a day with two Play Hockey for Free events in Yakima and the Tri-Cities.

Kids will have the opportunity to learn skating techniques and participate in passing and shooting drills, as well as learn what it’s like to play in a real game according to a press release on the events.

Families can register children online for one of the two events.

Kraken youth coaches will join Yakima youth coaches at the Yakima Ice Arena on Saturday, October 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Young hockey fans in the Tri-Cities will have the opportunity to hit the ice on Saturday, September 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the Hapo Ice Pavilion in Pasco.

Participating kids should bring a helmet (hockey, bike or other), gloves and warm clothing, skates if they have them (or skates will be provided) and hockey pads and sticks if they have them.
