Kennewick woman facing attempted murder charges after firing gun in Portland Airport

PORTLAND, Ore.-A Kennewick woman who fired a gun at the Portland Airport on Nov. 14 has now been charged with attempted murder.

Laura Patterson, 47, reportedly left a bathroom in the pre-security area around 11:10 p.m. and began firing into the air, according to the Port of Portland.

According to court documents, Patterson is now facing four counts of attempted murder, as well as unlawful use of a weapon, interfering with public transportation, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment.

No one was injured in the shooting according to KGW reporting, and Patterson was taken into custody. The Port of Portland Police Department is investigating and anyone with any information is asked Detective Cassie Hartless at 503-460-4221.
