KENNEWICK, Wash. – The Super Bowl outcome is still being determined for the two teams playing the big game. One thing is for sure: Restaurants are busy.
According to the National Retail Federation, over two million adults will watch Super Bowl 58. Over 50% of those adults plan to throw or attend a watch party, and over 16 million plan to watch in a restaurant or bar.
Michelle Heath, the restaurant and bar manager of CG Public House, said for her and her employees, it’s all hands on deck.
CG Public House has been preparing for the game for days. Heath said the restaurant is typically busy on Sundays, but with it being Super Bowl Sunday, she’s expecting more people to come in.
She said she’s anticipating 300 to 400, if not more, to come through their doors.
Heath said if you’re ordering takeout or come to the party, you can expect good homemade food while watching the game.
“More than we normally do,” said Heath about food preparation. “The menu that we do have is everything that we typically have on our brunch menu but, with them having the fun football names and the Taylor Swift names. They are double and triple preparing for those items.”
Heath said the staff gathered to develop the themed names for the Super Bowl menu.
