Kennewick police identify body found by housekeeper

May 5, 2022 3:36 p.m. – Lieutenant Jason Kiel tells us that Kennewick police believe the victim has no next of kin to notify, so NBC Right Now has decided to release his name. The victim is 76-year-old Clayton Wick from Kennewick.

May 4, 2022 10:30 a.m. – Kennewick police have identified the victim as a 76-year-old Kennewick man.

Police say they have attempted to locate next of kin, but haven’t been able to find them yet, so NBC Right Now is choosing not to release the name of the victim.

The WSP Crime Lab is still at the house processing evidence, so we’ll release updated information as it becomes available.

KENNEWICK, Wash. —

A housekeeper discovered a dead body inside a residence around the 400 block of S Buchanon Street around 2:15 p.m. on May 3. They notified the Kennewick Police Department, who believes the death was not natural and is investigating it as a homicide.

The victim’s identity is currently unknown. Detectives are on scene and the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab is en route, according to Lieutenant Jason Kiel.
