Kennewick High locked down, KPD arrest robbery suspect inside

KENNEWICK, Wash.-A juvenile suspect is in custody after a robbery that caused Kennewick High to be locked down on the morning of September 20.

Kennewick Police responded to a reported robbery on the 400 block of S. Dayton St. around 9:49 a.m.

According to the KPD a juvenile male suspect assaulted another juvenile male and stole his shoes before running from the scene. The suspect ran into Kennewick High, which prompted a lockdown of the campus.

KHS security and KPD Officers located the suspect and took him into custody inside the school without incident. He has been booked into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of 2nd degree robbery according to the KPD.
