Kennewick City Council appoints new City Manager at special meeting

KENNEWICK, Wash. – A new City Manager for the City of Kennewick was appointed at a special council meeting held on Tue., March 26.

Erin Erdman, whose previous experience includes 22 years of public service, was selected by the Council.

“I want to thank the City Council for entrusting me with this role,” said Erdman. “I am very excited to get to know the staff, the council, and the City as a whole and dive into the many exciting opportunities the City has on the horizon.”

Erdman previously served as the City Planner for the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Government, Permit Center Manager for the City of Vancouver and Community Development Director for the City of Battle Ground.

The selection of Erdman as the new City Manager follows a competitive recruitment process that has been ongoing since Nov. 2023. Interviews were conducted on March 8 with the top four candidates.
