TOPPENISH, Wash.-The Toppenish Police Department has appointed Joseph Mehline as its new Chief of Police.
Chief Mehline has over 17 years of law enforcement experience, according to a City of Toppenish press release on his appointment. Mehline has worked in Toppenish since 2022, including as Police Captain.
Former Toppenish Chief John Clary announced his retirement in Dec. after more than 30 years in law enforcement and his last day was Jan. 31.
