Inaugural “Better Together” walk to raise Autism awareness in the Tri-Cities

TRI-CITIES, Wash.-The first ever “Our Autism Journey-Better Together” Ceremonial Walk is set for Saturday, April 13. at the Benton Franklin Fairgrounds.

Hosted by the Tri-Cities Autism Coalition, the walk is a community initiative to raise awareness, inclusivity and support for individuals and families affected by Autism in the Tri-Cities area.

The “Our Autism Journey – Better Together” event hopes to address the needs of those with autism and their families and caregivers by providing a platform for education, connection, and community support, according to a press release announcing the inaugural event.

According to the Tri-Cities Autism Coalition, exhibitors and community partners are invited to the walk to promote their goods and resources for the Autism community free of charge.

Our Autism Journey-Better Together:

The Journey Experience: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Interactive exhibits and professionals will provide insights and information on Autism, diagnosis, therapy and resources.Walk/Run/Roll for Autism: 12:30 p.m. A half-mile walk within the Benton County Fairgrounds to promote acceptance and to support individuals with Autism and their families.
