High schoolers interested in law enforcement career invited to Kiwanis Camp

SHELTON, Wash. – High schoolers across the Pacific Northwest are invited to apply to spend a week at the Washington State Patrol Academy for the Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp in August.

High schoolers who will be juniors and seniors in the 2024-25 school year and are interested in a career in law enforcement can apply until May 10 to get an opportunity to learn from Washington State Patrol officers and officials from other agencies.

Classes at the camp will talk about SWAT, canine teams, driving, defensive tactics, safety, evidence gathering and more.

Applicants must submit a short essay, transcripts and recommendations. 24 participants will be selected to attend the camp.
