HERMISTON, Ore.- Isay Osorio Estrada has been awarded the prestigious President’s Volunteer Service Award after his involvement with the Hermiston High School FCCLA Chapter.

The student’s volunteer services went above and beyond to earn him the award from AmeriCorps, which honors volunteers’ strength and national identities.

“I feel very honored that I was considered for this award and am thankful that I am being recognized for all my hard work,” said Osorio Estrada. “As former President Ronald Reagan once said, “We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.’”

Osorio Estrada has been in the chapter’s office for two years and was the acting Oregon FCCLA State Officer for the 2022-23 school year.
