SPOKANE, Wash.-STCU is offering assistance events to help high school students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Free FAFSA assistance will be offered after-hours at STCU branches in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.

“There so many expectations for families with a graduating senior, and completing the FAFSA is one that can seem intimidating,” said Melody Somday, Community Branch Manager in Republic.

STCU’s FAFSA evening events are open to anyone with a student considering vocational training, apprenticeship programs, or college after high school, according to an STCU press release.

No registration is required for the events and attendees do not need to be STCU members to attend. A full list of financial records needed to apply for FAFSA is available through STCU.

“With locations in communities across the region, and community-oriented staff who frequently work with confidential financial matters, STCU is uniquely positioned to help,” said Traci McGlathery, VP – Director of Community Relations for STCU.
