Downtown Association of Yakima hosting Small Business Saturday promotion

YAKIMA, Wash.-The Downtown Association of Yakima will host its 5th Annual Small Business Saturday promotion on Nov. 25. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Small Business Saturday is designed to honor neighborhood stores, mom-and-pop shops, and independent businesses and aims to showcase their integral role in the community’s history, according to a press release from the Downtown Association of Yakima.

Over 30 downtown Yakima businesses are slated to participate this year and shoppers will have the opportunity to get passports stamped to enter a drawing for the chance to win DAY gift bags.

Shoppers can pick up their passports, a map of participating businesses and a free shopping tote at the check-in station located at the DAY Office at 14 S. 1st St.

Passports will be stamped at participating businesses and any passport with at least five stamps can be entered into the drawing for the gift bags.

The drawing for the gift bags will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28 and broadcast live on the DAY facebook page.
