PASCO, Wash. – The City of Pasco successfully secured $1.4 million in funding for local projects during the 2025 legislative session as outlined in the city’s end-of-session report.

The report is slated for presentation during the city council’s May 19 meeting at city hall by State Lobbyist Briahna Murray of Gordon Thomas Honeywell Government Relations.

The funding approved by state lawmakers includes $927,000 for the MLK Community Center renovation project and $515,000 for the Road 80 Neighborhood Park to transform a 3-acre grass field into a park, the report said.

Murray emphasized the importance of collaboration with local legislators, including Senator Matt Boehnke, Representative April Connors, and others, in achieving these outcomes.

“This success is a result of the hard work and coordination of all three legislative districts that represent the City of Pasco,” Murray stated in the report.

At Tuesday’s council meeting, Murray is expected to talk more about the city’s legislative achievements along with ongoing advocacy efforts to advance the city’s priorities in future legislative sessions.
