
BENTON COUNTY, Wash.–Used tires can be recycled this weekend at an annual recycling event.
The Benton County Mosquito Control, alongside the Department of Ecology, will take used tires to reduce mosquito habitats because one mosquito can produce over 1,000 eggs in a tire in just a few months, according to BCMC.
Up to 10 intact and round tires off the rims can be donated from 7 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Saturday the BCMC headquarters at 4961 Van Giesen St, according to BCMC.
