CUPERTINO, CA – Apple is cutting nearly 200 jobs in its self-driving car unit in California.
Most of those laid off are hardware and software engineers.
Apple has reportedly been struggling to get up to speed in its self-driving car effort since the project’s launch in 2014.
Apple also cut hundreds of jobs in the division in 2016.
