KENNEWICK, Wash. – The Living Room Community Church hosted its 14th annual car show, drawing local residents to admire a variety of unique cars. The event, held on Father’s Day, showcased over 60 cars, with the oldest dating back to 1928.

Monte Ingersoll, the lead pastor at the church, emphasized the significance of the event.

“I think the car show owners feel like they’re valued here. We always make sure we love on them and get them a free lunch. We want to make sure they enjoy their time together,” he said. Ingersoll added that the car show consistently attracts a large turnout, inviting the whole neighborhood to participate.

The event also offered free root beer and hot dogs for families, further enhancing the sense of community. Ingersoll shared his personal reflections on Father’s Day.

“I was thinking about my own dad this week who passed away a couple of years ago, but this is the best Father’s Day is just being able to be with all these great people and my family,” he said.

Ingersoll highlighted the broader purpose of the event.

“We think family is everything and we think community is everything. So we love to serve our community and we love to gather together,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of involving everyone in the celebration.

The Living Room Community Church plans to host more community events in the future. For more information, visit their Facebook.
