YAKIMA, Wash. – An accomplice in the October 2018 murder of Rosenda Strong was sentenced to prison on Wednesday.
Michael Lee Moody, 44, will spend 87 months in prison on one count of accessory after the fact for his role in Strong’s murder.
According to court documents, Jedidah Iesha Moreno shot and killed Strong after an argument in Wapato. Two other accomplices then placed her body in a freezer that was later loaded into a truck and dumped near M&R Towing off Highway 97.
A day later, Moreno shot at one of the other accomplices during an argument, leading to further violence and Moreno being shot and killed in a Chevrolet Impala. Her body was hidden near White Swan.
The Impala was submerged in a pond by Moody the next day.
Law enforcement later recovered the Impala and Moreno’s body. Strong’s body was found nine months after her death on July 4, 2019.
