Acclaimed author-illustrators to visit some Kennewick schools

KENNEWICK, Wash.-Four nationally recognized author-illustrators will be visiting some Kennewick schools during the week of October 23.

According to the Kennewick School District, the author-illustrators will hold art workshops and presentations at elementary schools and at Kamiakin High.

Author-Illustrators visiting the KSD:

Ralph Masiello: An illustrator with a series of “How to Draw” books.Katherine Roy: A writer who specializes mainly in nonfiction. Authrored “Neighborhood Sharks,” a Washington State Towner Nonfiction Award Nominee.Bethany Barton: An author with a series of nonfiction books designed to help children appreciate unusual things, such as spiders, rocks, bees and garbage.Marty Kelley: A speaker who creates sculptures with mixed media, including rocks, metal and wood.
