
RICHLAND, Wash. – The Richland City Council celebrated a significant milestone at its March 18 meeting as the Kiwanis Club of Richland marks its 80th anniversary.
Founded on March 14, 1945, the club has been a pillar of support for local youth programs, education initiatives, and community improvement projects.
Mayor Theresa Richardson expressed gratitude for the club’s contributions, stating, “The Kiwanis Club of Richland has fostered a spirit of generosity, civic engagement, and collaboration, strengthening the fabric of our City and enriching the lives of those in need.”
Over the years, the club has sponsored local clubs, provided scholarships for students, and contributed to various charitable causes
In her proclamation, Mayor Richardson acknowledges the club’s unwavering dedication and encourages residents to join in honoring its legacy of service.
She also officially recognized the club’s anniversary on March 18, 2025, highlighting the club’s role in building a better community.
