More than 400 high school students in North Carolina will have to retake the ACT after their tests were lost.

Pinecrest High School was notified Tuesday that ACT officials had not received the school’s answer sheets.

The ACT was administered to students back in February and March.

In a statement, the school’s principal says “human error” is to blame and appropriate personnel action has been taken.

The school says it plans to administer the test again in the fall at no cost to the students.
