27 years of fall traditions at Country Mercantile in Pasco

PASCO, Wash. — For 27 years, Country Mercantile has been a part of many families’ fall traditions. This opening day, owner Jerry Wood says it’s heartwarming to see how many people’s families he’s a part of.

Over the years, Wood and the Country Mercantile staff have made several additions to the fall festival to keep it fun, new and exciting.

This year, Wood tells me the crew has added an all new kids corn pit for kids to enjoy. But that’s not all they offer. You can enjoy the corn maze, lasso’s, duck races, a fun slide and even a pumpkin patch.

Just like the festival, the staff has grown too. Wood says he started with just about 5 people and it’s now grown into a family size operation. Some of the staff, he says, have been with him for the last 27 years.

Others have been going to the festival for years and are now part of the staff.

Jerry hopes to continue being part of family traditions and with a growing Tri-Cities, he thinks there’s no doubt the festival will too.

The festival is open every day but varies depending on the day.

Monday-Friday: 10AM-7PM

Saturday & Sunday: 9AM-7PM

Tickets can only be purchased at the door to enjoy all the fun Country Mercantile has to offer.
