YAKIMA, Wash. – The Yakima Valley College music program is hosting the 2024 Northwest Guitar Festival from Fri., April 5 to Sun., April 7, giving musicians in the region an opportunity to learn and compete.
The festival, which started in 1991, features three days of concerts and workshops along with a competition.

“Hosting the Northwest Guitar Festival is a wonderful opportunity for YVC and Yakima,” said YVC guitar instructor and festival director John Paul Shields. “It gives our students and the community at large a chance to see great concerts and participate in workshops given by some of the best classical guitarists the Northwest has to offer.”
