PARKER, Wash.–Two men were arrested after threatening and firing at two other men in their home.

Officers contacted the two residents, a 57- and 59-year-old, and found the suspects had approached the 57-year-old in car and made vague statements threatening to harm them before driving down the road, according to a Yakima County Sheriff’s Office news release. The suspects returned to the home and fired shots at the two older men, and the 59-year-old reported he fired back from his backyard prior to the suspects fleeing.

While investigating, officers were alerted of two men at a nearby hospital, one with non-life threatening gunshot wounds, according to the release. The injury, alongside an observation of the car the men arrived in, was consistent to the incident.

The suspects were detained and the car was seized for the investigation, according to the release. Both were booked into jail for felony assault and drive-by shooting charges.

Officers believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community, according to the release.

Information about the incident can be directed to the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office at (509)574-2500.
