YAKIMA, Wash. – Construction at the intersection of Division Street and 3rd Avenue is set to start Monday, April 7. The project is expected to be completed by late June or early July.
The work includes installing new traffic signals, ADA ramps, curbing, gutters, and sidewalks. Scheduled to run weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the project will cause periodic lane closures.
Knobel’s Electric, Inc., based in Yakima, is the primary contractor.
Drivers should slow down in work zones, watch for workers, and adhere to speed limits. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained as best as possible, and emergency vehicles will be allowed through if necessary.
The project schedule may change due to weather, equipment failure, or emergencies.
