YAKIMA, Wash. – Traffic on a portion of 48th Avenue in Yakima will be affected this week and next as city crews focus on road repairs, the city said in a release.

On Thursday, May 1, and Monday, May 5, the city said 48th Avenue between Nob Hill Boulevard and Chestnut Avenue will experience intermittent closures.

Project hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone.

Drivers should anticipate delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained, with traffic allowed through when possible.

The schedule may change due to weather, equipment issues, or emergencies, the city added.
