YAKIMA, Wash. – The Yakima Police Department is set to hold a news conference on Tuesday at around 2:00 p.m. regarding the death of a seven-month-old baby.
In addition to the infant’s death, Yakima police reported finding a malnourished two-year-old child in the same home.
A two-year-old child was taken to a hospital in Seattle for further care.
Authorities arrested a 20-year-old woman in connection with the case. She recently made her first court appearance.
According to documents, she faces charges of criminal mistreatment and first and second-degree charges for family abandonment.
