YAKIMA, Wash. – The Yakima Humane Society hosted its March Mutt-ness event at the Public House of Yakima East Tuesday night.
The gathering offered fun, camaraderie, and a chance to meet pets available for adoption.
Executive Director Jeff Boyd highlighted the dual purpose of the event.
“This year we really want to zero in our adoption center, our adoption center is, a very aged facility that needs an expansion and a remodel. So it’s a big multi-million dollar project that we’re working on, and we have some seed money for that,” he said. “So now we’re kind of just diving in and trying to raise more money to get this place, cleaned up, fixed up so that we can improve the housing quality for our animals and also, increase our”
