Yakima K9 to receive body armor donation

YAKIMA, Wash.–K9 Router, with the Yakima Police Department, will receive a bullet and stab protection vest as a donation from Vested Interest in K9s Inc., a non-profit organization.

The organization is charity with a mission to provide body armor to dogs at law enforcement and similar agencies throughout the country, according to YPD. The vest for K9 units is custom made for each dog, and the organization has provided 5,979 vests to K9s throughout the United States.

K9 Router will receive the vest within 10 weeks, according to YPD.
