YAKIMA, Wash. – Yakima County Commissioners have approved Resolution 42-2025, effective March 3, allowing residents and businesses to continue using natural gas without restrictions.
This decision aligns with Washington State’s Initiative No. 2066, which repealed previous regulations on natural gas use.
The resolution simplifies the process for installing or maintaining natural gas systems with an easier energy compliance form. Residents and businesses can choose the most affordable energy option without restrictions.
This resolution will remain unless future state regulations change the current natural gas policies.
