YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. – As the New Year approaches, the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office is urging everyone to celebrate safely. They are reminding the community of the dangers of drinking and driving.
Deputies will be conducting DUI emphasis patrols throughout New Year’s Eve to ensure public safety.
The Sheriff’s Office stressed the importance of choosing alternatives like Uber for a safer and more cost-effective option than driving impaired.
Similarly, the Washington State Patrol will also be conducting DUI emphasis patrols on Wednesday night.
