YAKIMA, Wash. – Two people were arrested in connection to a Yakima burglary ring suspected of stealing over $100,000 worth of property.

The Yakima County Sheriff’s office the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office said it investigated a series of thefts and burglaries, which led them to information about the burglary ring.

The crimes had occurred throughout Yakima County, including on White and Chinook Pass, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies investigated scenes and interviewed witnesses, which led them to prepare search warrants for two places in the City of Yakima: a storage unit facility near 16th Avenue and W. Washington Avenue and a residence on the 1200 block of East Spruce Street.

When deputies and other law enforcement agents executed the search warrants, they recovered “a stolen gun safe, 21 firearms, a large amount of processed marijuana, several motorcycles, two stolen four-wheelers, stolen lawn equipment including a brush hog and two riding mowers, several thousand dollars in tools, four vehicles, and hundreds of other items of value that are still believed to be stolen from around Yakima County,” the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies also found stolen fire equipment it believed was taken from Mason County.

The stolen items were linked to over fifteen burglary and theft cases, the sheriff’s office said. It valued the stolen property at over $100,000.

Two people were arrested during the raid, including a fifteen-time convicted felon. Both suspects were from the Yakima area, the sheriff’s office said.

The Yakima Sheriff’s Office said some victims might not know they were missing items recovered from in the raids and encouraged people who believed they might have been victims of these burglaries to call Deputy Cagle or Wilkinson at 509-574-2500.
