Yakima Area Arboretum hosting annual ArborFest April 12

YAKIMA, Wash. – ArborFest is returning on April 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Yakima Area Arboretum, showcasing the importance of water with 2025’s theme, “River of Life: Every Drop Matters.”

The free event will feature 30 educational booths with quick lessons and activities on the connection between plants, trees, crops, animals and the water that sustains them.

The Washington State Department of Health will also be in attendance to give free lead and arsenic testing in toys and soil.

Other organizations and departments in attendance include the Wenas Mammoth Foundation, Washington Ecology and the Yakama Nation Fire Management.

The Tri-City Rose Society will also provide hands-on pruning training in the rose garden at 10 a.m.
