KENNEWICK, Wash. – The Hub in Kennewick hosted a Women’s Expo to celebrate empowerment and connection among women, coinciding with Women’s History Month.

The event took place earlier today, offering a platform for women to connect, share, and feel empowered in a supportive environment.

Samantha Schuster, the Executive Director of Summer’s Hub of Kennewick, expressed her enthusiasm for the event.

“This is just a place of empowerment, so they don’t not feel alone; you have someone that’s that knows what you’re going through,” she said.

The expo provided opportunities for women to showcase their talents and products. Schuster shared her passion for the event.

“My passion for Women’s Expo is to just empower women to connect with women. From all sorts of cultures and races and individuals, with different personalities. We strive to empower women. We are providing resources for women, inspiration. There are women here that are bringing goods that they have made,” she said

Schuster emphasized the importance of bringing women together, particularly those who may be shy or uncomfortable in crowds.

“Getting women together that maybe are a little bit shy. They don’t like to be around crowds. The resources that you can get out and all the connections you can make with so many different people. And I thought they were great to be here for Women’s History Month, especially,” she explained.

In addition to celebrating Women’s History Month, Schuster encouraged women to be fearless and showcase their skills.

“Don’t be afraid to showcase, what you made and bring to the table,” she advised. “Once you get in person, you make those connections with people and get your name out there. It’s going to be a weight lifted off your shoulders, for sure.”
