Woman arrested for alleged DUI crash over Cable Bridge

TRI-CITIES, Wash. – A woman allegedly driving under the influence caused a head-on collision on the Cable Bridge in the Tri-Cities on Tuesday, according to Lieutenant Dustin Drout from the Washington State Patrol.

Drout says at around 6:22 p.m., the 35-year-old woman was reportedly heading southbound in the northbound lanes when she hit another driver head-on and a third vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle that was hit head-on was brought to a hospital for minor injuries and later cleared.

Drout says the crash caused backups in the northbound lanes of the Cable Bridge for about 30 minutes. It was fully cleared by 7:30 p.m.

The 35-year-old was booked in Franklin County for DUI.
