
WEST RICHLAND, Wash. –UPDATE 9:09 P.M.
Two properties sustained minor damage, but there are no reported damages to homes in the area, Shearer said.
UPDATE 8:23 P.M.
Reports of a transformer blowing up came in earlier this evening, and the calling party reported their power went out, said Ben Shearer, Benton County Fire District #4 Public Information Officer.
Shortly after, crews received reports of a fire, Shearer said. There is no confirmed connection between the two incidents and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
There were no reported injuries or structures damaged, and nearby evacuations have been called off, Shearer said. Forward progression has stopped and crews will remain on scene for mop up.
