Veterans and military spouses invited to April 9 resume workshop in Kennewick

Kennewick, WA – Veterans and military spouses in Kennewick have a unique opportunity to enhance their job prospects at a resume workshop on April 9, 2025.

The workshop offers participants a chance to work directly with local employers to create targeted resumes that effectively highlight their skills and experiences, ultimately increasing their chances of landing interviews and advancing their careers, said the Benton-Franklin Workforce Development Council in a release.

Attendees will gain insights into what employers look for in a resume, learn to craft compelling cover letters, and acquire interviewing techniques from experienced professionals. Additionally, the event will cover how to leverage LinkedIn as a tool to attract recruiters and explore the transferability of skills across different roles.

An expert panel will be available at the end of the session for personalized resume reviews, providing valuable feedback to participants.

Hosted by WorkSource Columbia Basin at 815 N. Kellogg St., this event will run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
