UNION GAP, Wash. – Christmas festivities are in full swing at Valley Mall in Union Gap, offering a month-long celebration for the community.
Pictures with Santa, indoor ice skating and holiday wrapping are just some of the attractions.
Marketing Manager Jacob Butler said the mall is expanding its holiday offerings this year.
“Giving families something more to do. And, you know, the majority of our events are free to the families,” said Butler.
Growing up in Yakima, shopping malls have always been a significant part of Butler’s holiday experience.
“I grew up in the shopping mall world, and being able to see Christmas time at a shopping center was always so magical,” said Butler.
He refers to himself as the ultimate Christmas elf and highlights the elf workshops as his favorite event.
“There’s nowhere else anywhere close that you’re going to get this much holiday programming in one space,” said Butler.
For those interested in joining the elf workshops, the next session is scheduled for Saturday, December 6.
Valley Mall is offering families a chance to create memories and enjoy the holiday spirit without financial stress.
