NACHES, Wash. – US 12 in Naches has reopened after being closed since December 10, 2025, due to flooding.
Heavy rainfall had caused the Naches River to rise, eroding the highway.
Nearly 300 feet of damaged embankment and highway was restored under an emergency contract.
There will be intermittent single lane closures during the week of February 16 to install new guardrail and paint stripes.
Additionally, a section of the Yakima Greenway Trail will stay closed until new fencing is installed.
