Two suspects in Pasco party shooting arrested, six victims confirmed

Pasco Police have confirmed in a release that Morales-Salto is one of two suspects in the shooting on Robert Wayne Drive.

Investigators said Morales-Salto will be booked into Franklin County jail.

Pasco Police named a second suspect, Brian Panduro-Valenzuela, in the case. He’s also charged with six counts of 1st degree assault and awaits extradition from Idaho.

Panduro-Valenzuela was also a defendant found not guilty in a party shooting three years ago in Pasco.

Police also confirmed six victims in the shooting on Robert Wayne Drive. Police earlier said five people were injured.

Pullman Police report the area is secure and residents can return to their homes.

While police have not confirmed Morales-Salto’s connection to a particular incident, there was a party shooting Sunday night on Robert Wayne Drive.

Five people were treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries related to the shooting.

Osman Morales-Salto has a checkered past. He was one of three 18-year-olds charged with murder in a party shooting three years ago.

Denali Anderson was pronounced dead on the scene from gunshot wounds and Caiden Gawith had a gunshot wound to the chest and lower abdomen, near his right hip.

The case went to trial in Franklin County Superior Court where a jury found the defendants acted in self-defense and not guilty.

PULLMAN, Wash. – A suspect wanted for six counts of assault in a shooting incident in Pasco was caught in Pullman on Tuesday, according to the Pullman Police Department (PPD).

The incident began around 8 p.m. when Pasco Police Department officials contacted Pullman police, believing the suspect was in the Aspen Heights area.

After hours of surveillance, the suspect was safely taken into custody through a collaborative effort involving the Whitman County Regional SWAT Team, Pasco Street Crimes Unit and Latah County Regional SWAT Team.

Officials advised the public to avoid Aspen Heights and evacuated residents in the complex’s 100 address buildings to secure the scene and collect evidence. Drivers were advised to use alternative routes around North Grand Avenue and Pullman-Albion Road.

Washington State University students displaced by evacuations are being sheltered at the CUB Senior Ballroom. Non-student residents were advised to go to the Senior Center at Pullman Recreation, located at 190 SE Crestview, Building B.
