UNION GAP, Wash. – Union Gap Police officers along with deputies with the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office and firefighters with the Yakima Fire Department rescued two men trapped by rising waters in the Greenway area of Union Gap.
Officer Snyder used a drone to patrol the riverbank and locate a man trapped by high water.
While rescuing the first individual, a second man was discovered in a similar predicament.
Both men were safely rescued with the help of Search and Rescue (SAR) teams and a Blackhawk helicopter from the Yakima Firing Center.
