PASCO, Wash. – The Southeast Washington Interagency Task Force, composed of fire crews from Benton County and Walla Walla County, remain in southern California, the city of Pasco said.
The team went on an 18-day assignment to assist crews already on the fire lines of the destructive and deadly Palisades fire.
While on stand-by in case the fires pick up, members of the task force met with homeowners outside the fire zone to teach them fire safety by clearing away brush and plants from buildings.
