Tri-Cities sees population growth with 2,725 new residents in 2025

TRI-CITIES, Wash. – The Tri-Cities region has reached a new population milestone in 2025, with an estimated total of 322,875 residents. This marks an increase of 2,725 people over the past year, according to a release by the Tri-City Development Council.

Benton County saw significant growth, adding 1,775 new residents. Richland led this increase with 740 new residents, followed by Kennewick with 670, and West Richland with 150.

Franklin County also experienced growth, adding 950 residents. Pasco contributed significantly with 770 new residents.

Over the past 25 years, the Tri-Cities population has expanded by more than 131,000, reflecting a 68% increase since 2000.
